A wet spring left the low path beside Willow Creek squelching and unusable, so the community moved it upslope. Over a run of work days, neighbours cut a new tread, brushed the corridor open, and built small check steps where the ground wanted to slide; the old line was scarped and seeded so the banks could recover. Before the autumn rains, neighbours gathered at the Bear Hollow fire road to open every culvert the summer growth had quietly closed — pulling gravel from the inlets, resetting the outflows, and leaving the ditch lines running clear again. An afternoon’s unglamorous work that keeps one crossing open all winter. This entry is synthetic fixture content published through the foundation’s own editor.

The blazes on the loop above the kiosk had faded until hikers kept walking straight through the junction. The community mixed paint to match the original colour, then walked the loop repainting each blaze on its tree or post — keeping the loop a loop for anyone new to the path.
